5 simple habits to keep your shop stock under control
दुकान का स्टॉक संभालने की 5 आसान आदतें
For most small shops, the biggest part of the money is sitting on the shelves as stock. These five habits help you keep it under control without extra work.
1. Enter every purchase bill
When stock comes in, enter the purchase bill the same day. Your stock goes up automatically and you always know what you paid for each item.
2. Set a low-stock level for fast sellers
For items that sell every day, set a Low Stock Qty on the stock item. Use the Low Stock filter in the stock list before you place an order with your supplier.
3. Count once a month
Once a month, count a few important items and compare with the app. If they do not match, use Adjust Stock so the books show what is really on the shelf — damage, free samples and personal use all add up.
4. Watch slow-moving items
Look at the stock list for items whose quantity has not changed for weeks. Money stuck there could be used for items that sell. A small discount to clear them is often better than waiting.
5. Check your stock value with your profit
Unsold stock is not an expense — it is still your money. EAMBAS counts stock value when it calculates profit, so the dashboard shows your real profit, not just sales minus purchases. Open Net Profit calculation on the dashboard to see the full working.
Tip: you can import all your items at once from Excel under Stock → Bulk Action → Import.
